EcoMarathon on the Arieș Valley
Between 24th and 29th July, 2023, we participated in the Ecological Marathon along the Arieș Valley organized by the IPlant.Today Association in Sebeș in partnership with Apuseni Spirit.
For 6 days, we cleaned several areas along the Arieș Valley to restore its natural beauty! Throughout this marathon, we succeeded alongside approximately 150 volunteers to:
- Collect approximately 42,000 liters of waste, including from hard-to-reach areas;
- Introduce 40 new pollution points into the EcoVoice application.
Cleaning up is important to rid nature of waste, but even more crucial is to ensure that those wastes do not 
end up in nature first and foremost!
Therefore, we encourage you to:
REDUCE the amount of waste!Ask yourself what products you could do without or what products you could replace to reduce the amount of waste. For example, why not use cloth bags for shopping instead of plastic ones?
REUSE what you can!Use your creativity to find new ways to use items that you are about to throw away. Or donate them to those who might need them!
RECYCLE the waste!Learn how and where to recycle different types of waste. The EcoVoce app has useful information on that!
