Activități – EcoVoce

Develop citizen science networks in the local communities and VGI app (May-December 2022) The first stage of the project aims at developing the framework for the monitoring of the environmental problems directly by the local communities. Thus, in this stage, the Beta version of the EcoVoce app will be tested and validated. To make sure that the app meets the needs of the local communities, this stage includes several public consultations by which we intend to engage the beneficiaries of the app.
The main activities in this stage are:

Community outreach and dissemination of project outcomes (January – May 2024)
The last stage of the project includes the dissemination of results.

Mapping environmental concerns, validation of reported cases (January – December 2023) The second stage has the following purpose: development of the final version of the EcoVoce app and its promotion within the local communities to encourage the participation of citizens in this citizen science initiative. After the official launch of the EcoVoce app anyone can insert volunteered geographic information about the environmental problems identified throughout the territory of the two towns Campeni and Baia de Aries. The reported cases will be monitored by the EcoVoce team, together with the local monitors.
Also, in this stage we will achieve the orthophotoplans using drones and the testing of the flight parameters.
The main activities in this stage are:

Creation of the final version of the EcoVoce app
Development and implementation of a promotion strategy for the app
Ongoing VGI data collection and monitoring of the reported cases
UAS-based orthophotoplans development
The testing of the flight parameters
