Field trip on the Aries Valley, September 2022

On 17 September 2022 we went out in the field again to talk to the locals and test the EcoVoce app. This trip coincided with the national waste collection action “Let's do it, Romania!”. On this occasion, the members of our research team participated in the waste gathering action of the Apuseni Mocanita (a very old railway) route, between Campeni and Abrud, a tourist objective with a great potential for development, a potential that is currently limited by the presence of waste.
Several volunteers and environmental activists, as well as students from the Campeni high school, participated in the action. The EcoVoce team thus had the opportunity to investigate how information about the environment is propagated at the level of the studied communities and to continue the network analysis started during the previous months. Environmental problems were identified along the entire route of Mocanita and GPS points were introduced in the Beta version of the application already developed by the project team.
